Enjoy the luxury of your own personal spa-like while treating yourself to a magnificent manicure and/or the perfect pedicure at the fashionable Lace Nail Lab, which offers a unique nail care experience that relaxes you, relieves stress, improves well being and fits into your schedule and budget.
"I used to come to Miami regularly for work and found that there weren't any chic places to go where I could get a good mani-pedi after a day at the beach or before a night out on the town, especially in a comfortable, clean environment where the client services were top-notch" says Lace's 25-year-old owner Anna Elizabeth Gordh. "The lack of sanitary conditions in many nail salons is a prime concern for many women and the dangers of catching an infection at a salon are real," says Gordh, who over the years has developed and real passion (and knowledge) of proper nail care and maintenance. Indeed, each year, millions of people who frequent nail salons are exposed to a host of dangerous viral, bacterial and fungal infections, ranging from HIV, Hepatitis B and C, staphylococcus, streptococcus, athlete's foot and nail fungus. In fact, a recent 20/20 investigation found that of all the professional nail salons they randomly selected around the country, almost all tested positive for potentially harmful bacteria. At Lace Nail Lab, these worries need not be a concern. The salon meets all the necessary sanitary codes required by law and utilizes the latest, state of the art salon equipment.
The full-service nail salon was conceived and is owned by 25-year-old former actress and model Anna Elizabeth. It is designed by artist Doug Meyer working with an all pink theme. Meyer's work has been feaured in such magazines as House Beautiful, ArtForum, Art Review magazine, among others. He is also the brother of fashion designer Gene Meyer, with whom he is designing a collection of home furnishings that will debut later this year. Lace Nail Lab will offer a broad range of services for the hands, feet, face and body . Specialty treatments will include The Maui in Miami, The Popsicle, and The Oh La La, among others. The Lace Retail Lab will offer clients with a variety of the finest makeup, face and nail products available from such companies as Pure Fiji (sold at Fred Segal (Studio), Henri Bendel, and Barneys New York), Kai, Get Fresh (a line of foot care products featured in Allure and Vogue, and Lucky), Fake Bake (the preferred self tanner of such celebrities as Britney Spears), and the Essie and Opi nail polish brands.
