The Xerox 1000 digital colour production press was launched at Ipex in 2010 and replaces the outgoing DocuColor 8000. The new machine can print on card stocks as heavy as 350gsm which allows BabycardsNow.co.uk to provide customers with a superior quality product.
?The quality of our cards has increased dramatically since we started using the Xerox 1000,? says Jane O?Neill, founder of BabycardsNow.co.uk ?We have been able to print our cards on a heavy 320gsm stock and provide our customers with exceptional print quality with regard to skin tones and colour balance which is important since many of our designs incorporate a photo. In addition, we also have the capabilities to add a silk finish to the cards on the print run which means we can provide customers with a superior finish on their cards whilst keeping costs low.?
The latest digital print machinery has also meant an increase in the company?s production capabilities and delivery times have been able to be reduced from 5 days to 3 days.

Since the company began using the latest print technology in May 2011 they have already seen a dramatic increase in online orders with sales rising by 40%.
